yeah. so casino night wasn't as great as I imagined.
It was fun dressing up and seeing everyone and all, but I guess my imaginings are aLways a lot more.. out there than things turn out to be.
I had figured it to be more like vegas, but it was more pro-grad than anything, and a hECK of a lot more crowded.
It sucked - once you left your spot in a blackjack table you probably wouldn't get able to get back in the rest of the night. The rooms were too small and there shoulda been a loT more tables.
One of the dealers was completely incompetant, she made wrong change, couldn't add the numbers up, couldn't shuffle, didn't deal fast enough, and honestly, for the first half of the game I could see what she had when she 'subtly' looked to see what she had. But I didn't wanna lose my spot so I endured it for awhile.
I learned how to play craps, but someone decided to play the most risky bet ever with most of our money and lost it. And continued to lose it in 2 hands of poker at the last minute. blARGH. hehe. but it's ok. I mean, prizes were raffle tickets that were impossible to win, so it's all good.
bUT! Chris omar JON rebecca michael shuo david and I went to Player's afterwards and the food was surprisingly really good and reasonably priced. I had a bacon cheeseburger and the best chocolate milkshake (I can't remember the last time I had one). yuM. We had lots of fun. I think I enjoyed that part of the night the best, just eating and sitting and talking and laughing.
man. that makes me hungry.
I go eat.
