I can't believe there's less than 2 weeks of ABSA left. I am going to be so sad.

Out last sibling game night is tonight, and tomorrow we're having a senior farewell and then ballroom dancing lessons. I am excited - I've always wanted to learn to actually dance. Then next Friday is our EOS - end of semester banquet.

It's almost over....

A war is waging within ABSA....

Certain sib families have crossed the line. At first they were insignificant instances, indirect comments. But the infidels have grown bolder. They now rudely and brashly embark upon a crusade to steal my sibs away frome me.

In the past few months, at least half the big sibs in ABSA have attempted to lure Caroline and Hanh over to the dark side. I have stood by and endured insult after insult, and witnessed act after thoughtless act of treachery.

But no longer - No longer will I allow this connivance to continue!

Hanh and Caroline are MY sibs. MINE, got it? Shobit, Gene, Joe, Ansar, Sarah, even sweet-seeming Vivian: I accuse you of being guilty on at least one count of attempted thievery of sibs! This includes bribery, insulting me as a Big Sib, cajoling, manipulation, and physically pulling my sibs away from me.

Gene is the worsT. Him and his whole wretched family.

Demona848 (12:19:28 AM): want to quote on my Informer article?
Demona848 (12:19:36 AM): on why your weirdo family wore matching shirts to DIM SUM
HolyHeYsus (12:21:43 AM): and jealousy rears its ugly head
Demona848 (12:23:48 AM): the only ugly head around here is the one on those hideous yellow shirts
HolyHeYsus (12:26:07 AM): psh u wish u had a head that good looking on ur chest

HolyHeYsus (12:33:43 AM): u know i'm considering making 2 new shirts for 2 possible recruits into the gene pool
Demona848 (12:34:21 AM): yeah good luck finding someone who's DNA is inferior enough to be in thaT pool
HolyHeYsus (12:38:11 AM): well i was thinkin of inviting u, but ur rite i've gotta up my standards, maybe i'll ask caroline and hanh instead
Demona848 (12:39:04 AM): but if you up your standards so much that hanh and caroline can join, then neither you nor your sibs would fit the criteria

Look at that! Exhibit A.

I don't know WHY everyone is in a conspiracy to take Hanh and Caroline away from me. Just because they had the good sense to choose to be in my family in the first place shouldn't make them victims in this pitiful battle for the best sibs in ABSA. They're just innocent bystanders, ok? LEAVE THEM ALONE.

Exhibit B.

I'm reading Hanh's blog.. and what do I see??

A sneaky GenePool sib:

Hi Hanh!!!!

I hope you feel better...you can come talk to me if you need...i've been disappointed many times...so i know what it feels like

...AND we can go shopping...and buy new shoes

Look at that flagrant display of fake concern. Curse you sly gene pool tool of evil! Shy away, Hanh. It's like taking candy from strangers. Trust not the foulness of that sib family!

I must be on better watch from now on.... and patrol their xangas more frequently...

a battle is brewing...

it's not going to be pretty...

I had the finance lecture recordings uploaded and linked on my profile, and my sister actually downloaded one and listened to it. what a weirdo.

random:

*Shanna*(7:01:24 PM): Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy....... So the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree. Share this with other women who are good apples, even those who have already been picked!

*Shanna*(7:01:33 PM): And... Men are like a fine wine. They start out as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the crap out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

*Shanna*(7:01:51 PM): this was from one of my hs friend's xangas
*Shanna*(7:01:57 PM): just thought you might enjoy that :-)

Holy crap I feel horrible. I am never drinking anything with caffeine again. I can't get my heart to stop beating. I mean, not stop beating entirely... but beating so quickly. This is not a good feeling.

POO.

I have two tests wednesday, and have been attempting to study all day today.

Halfway through reading, I decide to make some tea. I don't really drink tea. I was just bored, really.

I put in too much mango green tea leaves, so I add in more rock sugar to compensate. It was so yummy and strong I drank it all in in 10 seconds.

It resulted in immediate dizziness. I had no idea tea affects you like this. tea and sugar. sugar and tea. wheeeeee.....

I should've read the back where it says rinsing out the first brew takes away 85% of the caffeine. I don't really drink anything with caffeine. And I know this is not psychological because right after I drank it I got my head started spinning and it took me awhile to figure out why and i have no idea what I am writing this.

Too busy living life to blog it.

Alumni panel on Thursdsay was good. Alumni happy hour on Friday was fun, even though only one alum(?) showed up. Alumni dinner on Saturday was awesome - we had 9 alumni show up and they all seemed to be so enthusiastic about seeing each other and revisiting their ABSA memories that I think it really made the members appreciate ABSA all the more. If possible.

I got a sunburn on my back from car wash 11am-4pm on Saturday. Because I could only reach the top of my back, the part where I left uncovered in sunblock and my shirt left this big red sunburn on my back. It's still hot to the touch. And it hurts like hell everytime I'm in the shower.

We won softball today against this team who had matching t-shirts. They called themselves the 'All Stars'. Good thing they weren't all stars. Hahahaha. Get it? .... .. anyways... we won.

It's been a very busy weekend loaded with ABSA stuff. Two tests Wednesday. Then more ABSA stuff all weekend.

Hooray.

On the way back to Riverside, I saw yet another hobo at an intersection asking for money.

This particular sign had to have been the most interesting one I've seen in my two years in Austin. All it had was:

"Native American. God Bless."

Isn't that hilarious? What the hell does that mean? Is he assuming because he's Native American all the drivers will screech in their tracks and throw money at him to atone for all the White Man's sins?

What a way to play the race card. You go, Squanto.
