So this last lunar year was supposed to be bad luck for me.
And it was.
All this crazy shit happened with:
my car (two tickets, one accident),
during business traveling this summer (got massive food poisoning twice, tons of delays, missed flights due to overbooking, etc)
on the days of my interviews (several buses pass me up several occasions, running to campus in heels and a suit)
on finals day (all three finals canceled day of and rescheduled till after EOS/party - took two tests hungover)
Just when I think I might finally be in the clear (chinese new year Jan 29th), I realize the scariest and most important interview I've ever had is on FRIDAY THE 13th!!
HOORAY FOR ME!
I absolutely can not WAIT until Jan 29th. Jenny, (and now David) and I are going to a frigging Buddhist temple and getting trinkets and things blessed by monks; I'm putting that shit all over my car, room, and apartment.
Anyone else needing a change in luck this upcoming year is welcome to come. Unless I don't get a job, in which case I will be dead and no longer in need of chinese charms.
